Is it time for an eye exam?

You may be due for any eye exam at this time. During the course of an eye exam, I will check for signs of glaucoma, cataracts, signs of diabetes, high blood pressure, other eye and systemic diseases.

According to the American Optometric Association, people should have eye exams according to the following schedule:

Patient's Age	|   Recommended Eye Exams
0 to 18 years	|   one exam per year*
19 to 40 years	|   one exam every two years*
41 to 65 years	|   one exam per year*
66 years and over	|   at least one eye exam per year*

*People who have or have family members with conditions like diabetes, hypertension, glaucoma, strabismus, amblyopia, retinal diseases and other conditions may need to be seen more frequently.
